Not sure whether it’s a hoax! This information is displayed on Gmail homepage on April 1st, 2007 (Yes, fool’s day).

GMail homepage announces Gmail Paper. As per their site, User’s can select emails and google would print and mail the hardcopy to the users. Is it really true? I doubt!
